Today I received the rods (smooth and threaded) brought from Charlie’s 3d technologies. As Charlie suggested, for the Z axis I brought stainless steel threaded rods (instead of the zinc plated rods used for the frame) with 4 nuts, these too made by steel. I also included in my order two springs, useful to reduce the backlash.…
In the last few months, the ecosystem of “hobbistic” 3d printers litterally exploded: hundreds of different models are now available and this multiplicity may confuse someone who intends to build his first 3d printer.
