I’ve already posted about a 3d printer funded by Kickstarter.
Today I found, on Kickstarter again, an interesting project by ThingM, named blink(1). The idea behind it is very simple: an RGB led powered and controlled via USB.
blink(1) is detected as an HID device by computers, so it doesn’t need any drivers being compatible with every O.S.; ThingM promised the controlling application will be available on Windows, Linux and Mac.
You can find several ways to use it, a small list is available on Kickstarter’s page and includes:
[checklist]
- color-based notifications (e.g. blu = new tweet, green = new email…);
- mobile controlled indicator;
- night light with programmable patterns…
[/checklist]
I’m one of the backers: wait until October for a review 😉
Davvero molto interessante 🙂 un progetto semplice, divertente e con molte potenzialità.
Bravo per averlo scovato e complimenti al Team di ideatori.
