New PIC microcontrollers from Microchip

Microchip has just expanded its K50 line of the PIC18 family with the new version of two widely used PIC microcontrollers, 18F2550 and 18F4550, that now add a “K” in their names:

The most interesting feature – these microcontrollers are often used as usb devices – is the ability to use an RC internal oscillator also for USB functionality:

Both the two PIC are already available on Microchip Direct, while in the most famous webstores are still in pre-order.

The price is very surprising: about 35% lower than the actual ones!
