I decided to try the PCB service offered by OSH Park to manufacture the PCB for my Type4me project after having read good reviews about it; it was also recommended me by my friend Dario.
OSH Park takes designs from many hobbists, panelizes them and – 2-3 times a week – sends them to the fab. For each design, you get 3 PCBs, at the price of 5$ for square inch: for example Type4me’s PCB is 3.5 square inch so I payed 17.5$ for 3 PCBs not including shipping cost.
OSH Park is different from the other services I’ve already tryed for:
[checklist]
- the high quality of the PCBs
- PCBs are manufactured in the USA
- PCBs have a typical violet color

The ordering process is very simple: you can upload to the website your Eagle brd file or – as an alternative – Gerber files:
The website processes your project and displays a preview of the PCB, so you can visually detect any errors:
After having closed the order and made the payment, you can monitor the order’s status from your personal area in the website; you’ll also receive an email for each change:
When I received my PCB, I could confirm the high quality of them:
